'Dispatch: Design Works' Revealed to Celebrate the Game's One Year Anniversary

AdHoc Studio's hit game Dispatch is now a year old, so what better time for an announcement of a new book for fans to look forward to? Enter Lost in Cult, the publisher behind the excellent Design Works series, with the news that they have partnered with the studio to give it a deep dive showcase of its own in Dispatch: Design Works.
This is an early reveal for the book, because typically the Design Works series are revealed at the same time the pre-orders go live. In this case though, the publisher is sharing the news early for the one year anniversary of the narrative driven game, allowing fans to suit up and get ready for the launch.
Very little is know about the book at this time, there isn't even a cover, but you can head over to the Lost in Cult website and bookmark the page, as well as discover their other Design Works books before more is revealed. What we can expect based on the ever-growing catalogue, is that it will feature a deep dive into the development and visual material of Dispatch, making it a detailed companion to the game.
As is also tradition for Lost in Cult, a Deluxe Edition is almost certainly going to be available too, coming with a presentation box and extra goodies for those with extra space on their shelves. The visuals of Dispatch are part of what makes the game popular, with a strong cast of heroes that help make it perfectly suited for the Design Works treament.
The last reveal in the series was for Rain World: Design Works, and it is set to release in late 2027. This indicates there will be time before the book is released once the pre-orders go live, but based on previous books, it will be worth the wait. Dispatch is an episodic narrative game from AdHoc Studio that was released in October 2025, on PC and PS5, before being ported to Xbox Series S/X and Switch. It follows Robert Robertson III, aka Mecha Man, at his new job at the Superhero Dispatch Network after ending his career as a superhero. He now manages a team of former villains who are sent out to help people across Los Angeles. As well as choosing the best character for each emergency, players also shape the story and relationships through their narrative and dialogue choices. It boasts an impressive cast that includes Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey and Jeffrey Wright, and also went on to become a big success that includes selling over 4 million copies.
