'Citizen Sleeper 2: Design Works' Revealed by Lost in Cult

Wake up Collector, a new book is coming! Lost in Cult are back with another entry in their Designs Works series, this time looking at the development and visuals of Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector from developer Jump Over the Age. This comes as part of a series of new goodies for the game to celebrate its one year anniversary.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Design Works is coming in Q3-4 of 2026 from the UK based publisher, providing fans of the dice-driven RPG a look at the artwork, diagrams, and development details of the game. Announced on social media, the 250-page hardcover is available to pre-order now on the Lost in Cult website.

Author John Rogers guides you through the creation of The Starward Belt, but Citizen Sleeper 2: Design Works also comes with interviews with Gareth Damian Martin, Guillaume Singelin, and Amos Roddy, to give further insights into what it took to bring the sequel to life. This includes a look at Singelin's sketchbook and how Roddy's soundscape came together, highlighting that, like previous Design Works books, this is the ultimate deep dive—or deep voyage—into the game. The release is of course not complete without artwork too, which showcases characters, environments, and more, as seen below.

Not looking to break tradition, a Deluxe Edition is also available to pre-order until March 31st that will allow those wanting some extra goodies to fill up their shelf even more. As well as the 250-page book, the following is included;

However, Lost in Cult didn't stop there, as this is also their first sequel book in the series, so the publisher is going back and giving Citizen Sleeper: Design Works a reprint as well. Those that missed out on getting a look at the art and behind-the-scenes details of the first game will be able to get their hands on a copy when it releases alongside the new book.

Not stopping there, and on a mission to treat players of the game, the in-game tabletop RPG Spindlejack will be available to buy separately, as well as an updated physical and digital copy of the tarot card based tabletop game Cycles of the Eye from the original Citizen Sleeper.

As well as this a new vinyl is available for Citizen Sleeper 2, for those wanting to get lost in its soundscapes, with a reprint also coming for the first game's vinyl too, offering a lot of options for people who are not looking to end their experience after venturing through the cosmos.

If you want to empty the wallet a little more, the Anniversary Edition comes with the Deluxe Edition of Citizen Sleeper 2: Design Works, an A2 print featuring Guillaume Singelin's artwork signed by Gareth Damian Martin, a limited Sleeper Yellow vinyl with Amos Roddy's score, and a Citizen Sleeper 2-themed vinyl slipmat. This is limited to 250 copies though at £239.99, so act fast to secure yours.

Lost in Cult pulled out all the stops for this one, another confirmation of their commitment to celebrating both physical game's media and smaller titles that can be underserved in the book and vinyl market.
