Video Preview - Marvel's Wolverine: The Art of the Game
November 6th 2026
This week on The Artbook Collector YouTube channel is a preview of the new release that shares the art behind Insomniac Games' latest release, Wolverine! Arriving just a handful of weeks after the game launched, Marvel's Wolverine: The Art of the Game is now available for fans to sink their claws into.
The studios partnered again with publisher Dark Horse to release this new artbook for their Marvel universe on November 3rd, 2026. It comes as a 200-page hardcover with early artwork and insights for the game, sharing the talent of the artists that contributed to this new take on Wolverine, Sabretooth, and more. You can watch the preview of the book below.
The book shares both 2D and 3D concepts for the main characters, enemies, locations, technology, and more found in the game. This includes unused material too, giving players a peek at what didn't make the final cut, as well as written insights about the the game and artwork.
In my review I praised the the production quality and page design from Dark Horse, who are one of, if not, the most consistent and reliable publisher of artbooks. The artwork is fantastic as expected too, but there were some elements I would have liked to see more of, such as designs for Wolverine himself. You can read more about this, as well as other highs and lows in my review here; Book Review - Marvel's Wolverine: The Art of the Game.

Marvel’s Wolverine is a third-person action game from Insomniac Games, expanding on their Marvel Universe that began with Marvel's Spider-Man in 2018. It launched on the PlayStation 5 on September 15th, 2026 and has already sold more than 2 million copies. It follows Logan, aka Wolverine, on an adventure to multiple locations across the world with faces familiar Marvel fans, including Mystique, Jean Grey, and Sabretooth. It plays to the characters strengths of melee combat, taking advantage of Wolverine's quick healing ability, while also adding in stealth elements as well. Insomniac are no strangers to artbook relases for their games, with the last being The Art of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, so fans and collectors will be enticed by this new volume as well.
