With September at an end after delivering a good number of books, October arrives to continue the heavy wave of releases. The end of 2025 wants to empty your bank account, so check out some of the titles that may end up taking a spot on your shelf this coming month!
2nd - The Art of Final Fantasy Tactics (Japan)

Square Enix are showcasing the artwork for Final Fantasy Tactics in this Japanese release for the 1997 strategy RPG. As well as art for the original release, it will also include content for 2007's War of the Lions edition and 2025's The Ivalice Chronicles.
The Art of Final Fantasy Tactics includes never-before-seen illustrations for the original game, including a look at the characters, maps, jobs, and more. No word yet on an English release, but these can come many months after Japanese version.
7th - The Art of Borderlands 4

Dark Horse are adding another video game artbook to their large catalogue with The Art of Borderlands 4, providing a look at the recently released entry in the looter-shooter series. Fans will be able to enjoy the concept art for the characters, locations, enemies and weapons of the ever chaotic world of Borderlands 4.

21st - Mortal Kombat: Flawless Victory: A Visual History of the Iconic Series

Look back at the history of Mortal Kombat in this 306-page hardcover NetherRealm Studios and Insight Editions. Mortal Kombat: Flawless Victory: A Visual History of the Iconic Series offers insights and interviews about the characters and making of the games, alongside early art, renders and illustrations too.

21st - The Art and Making of Dune Awakening

The Art and Making of Dune Awakening gives fans a deep dive into the development of the survival MMO set in the world of Frank Herbert’s science fiction novels. Inside you will find concepts for the characters and world of Arrakis across over 200 pages featured in this hardcover. The book goes into detail about the mechanics and making of the game and includes interviews from the development team at Funcom.
21st - The Art of Judge Dredd by Jock

Also coming on the 21st is The Art of Judge Dredd by Jock after a couple of setbacks. It will showcase the bold style of the artist through his sketches, layouts and finished work. As well as this, it will also include his concept art for the 2012 movie, Dredd.
28th - Metroid Prime 1–3: A Visual Retrospective: The Official Art and Making of Metroid Prime 1–3

Metroid Prime 1–3: A Visual Retrospective is being released by Piggyback Interactive to celebrate over 20 years of concept art and illustrations for the beloved series. It will also come with notes from the producers for added insights into the art and games.
28th - Harry Potter: The Storyboards

Harry Potter: The Storyboards shines the spotlight on all eight of the movies through the storyboards that helped shape each release. Storyboards play a major role in on-screen storytelling, with this hardcover book highlighting the talent of the team that created them.
Fans of the Wizarding World can add this book from Insight Editions to their own collection when it arrives on October 28th.
31st - WORLD OF TANKS. Journey Through Art

Cook and Becker are publishing an artbook dedicated to the free-to-play game from Wargaming. The hardcover will showcase the war-torn maps and the many tanks players can choose from, as well as keyframes and more. WORLD OF TANKS.
