Plagued by setbacks, the release date of The Art of Rust has been pushed back again. For the fifth time since its announcement in March, the book has been delayed and has now slipped into next year.

As spotted on the website of publisher Dark Horse, the new release date for the book is January 6th 2026, as you can find here. Announced first for September 9th, the 192-page hardcover has been an unfortunate victim of setbacks, a situation in which some titles in the artbook world find themselves in. As with prior delays, no reason has been given, but there are a huge number of things that can cause delays, from missing assets, to scheduling issues.
The upcoming book will feature the concept art for the FPS survival game, which includes a look at the characters, costume designs, wildlife, weapons, vehicles, and environments, highlighting the work from the art team at Facepunch Studios.
It's a short update for this one, simply because I've written about this book being delayed multiple times and have no other new information. It is important to make a note of these release issues though, because they aren't mentioned elsewhere, despite artbook delays happening more often than new announcements. Hopefully for those that play the popular shooter, this will be the final update before the release.
