Another release change has been spotted for the upcoming book, The Art of Rust. This comes just days after it had received a two week delay that pushed it further into September.

Revealed on March 7th, the book for the popular game Rust was set to hit shelves on September 9th, but has now suffered a second setback. Like the last time this was noticed, as reported here, this was a change I spotted while checking listings on the Dark Horse website yesterday (April 15th). The new delay is unfortunately longer, moving the release date from September 23rd to October 21st.

As is almost always the case, there was again no posting on social media about this change. Spotting delays to report here often come from checking release schedules, something I do fairly often. The reasons again are unknown and up for speculation, but having spoken to an author on artbooks and their delays, it is likely a scheduling issue due to the amount of collaboration involved.

Information on the book and the new release date can be found on the the Dark Horse website, with some online retailers also having updated their listings already. Others though, including Amazon UK, are still showing the original release date, but it is not uncommon for details to take some time to be amended.

Hopefully this is the last delay for the book and the artwork from the team at Facepunch Studios will make it into the collections of fans on October 21st.
