Dark Horse have been making a case for themselves in recent years as the go to publisher of video game artbooks. Today it is revealed they have yet another coming, The Art of Rust, based on the survival shooter.
GameSpot had the exclusive announcement for the book, which gives players some small details, as well as the usual you would expect from a Dark Horse and video game artbook.
The Art of Rust is set to be released on September 9th and will come with 185 pages. As is the norm for Dark Horse, it will also come with a hardcover and retails at $55 (likely £45 for those in the UK, based on past pricing).

Their report, found here, also states it will feature the art of the world and its inhabitants, including wildlife and costume design. This isn't unexpected, as it's an artbook after all, but the timing itself is. Rust was released back in 2018, so despite there being multiple years of support since then, it does make this a 7 year gap between the debut of the book and the game.
It is still popular today though, so it will give current players a new look at the game through its art, as well as giving old players a reason to return. A sequel was also announced 2 years ago.
Developed by Facepunch Studios and Double Eleven, an early access version of the game was first made available in 2013. It was later officially launched on PC in 2018 and then consoles in 2021. The game is a multiplayer survival shooter and has since sold over 12 million copies.
I personally like seeing artbooks come later in the life of a game, there's no reason to only time a publication early on. Most come within a couple of years of a game hitting shelves, but a later release can keeps fans invested longer in the worlds of their favourite titles.
If there are anymore updates on the book, I will report it here.
