Cover Art Revealed for 'Marvel's Wolverine: The Art of the Game'

Insomniac Games launch their highly anticipated Marvel game Wolverine on September 15th, expanding on their universe following Marvel's Spider-Man 2 from 2024. As is tradition for the studio, an artbook is also on the way, which now has its final cover art after being revealed this week.

Marvel's Wolverine: The Art of the Game! from Dark Horse Books arrives on November 3rd 2026, giving players just a few weeks to wait before diving into the early artwork behind the game. Above you can see the new cover art, which depicts Wolverine himself in a fight with The Hand, a group we know from the latest trailer is being led in the game by Lady Deathstrike.

The 9" x 12" hardcover comes with 208 pages of art for the characters, weapons, enemies, and locations of the the game, all alongside insights from the developer. Previews were shared when the book was announced, which includes a look a Wolverine, Omega Red, Madripoor, and the Sentinels, as seen below.

The format of the book matches The Art of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, as well as most of the other artbooks from Dark Horse. This is good news as they are a great size and well-made, delivering great quality releases that are worthy of the games and artists the focus on. The Spider-Man 2 book was excellent, so this will likely be on the wishlist for fans of the studio and Wolverine.

While the placeholder that featured Jock's key art was a great image, I do like that the artbook distinguishes itself with new artwork that is dynamic and shows the iconic character mid-fight. The previews show that the book will highlight unused designs, which will be interesting to see, especially for a character that has already had multiple teams work on him, from the original comics, all the way through to movies and games.
