The animated Netflix series Castlevania: Nocturne, based on the hit video game series, is getting the artbook treatment for the first two seasons of the show.

Castlevania: Nocturne--The Art of the Animated Series has not had an official press reveal from publisher Dark Horse, but has already appeared on their website and some online retailer listings. The 208 page hardcover book is set for release on March 3rd 2026 with an RRP of $54.99. Like almost all the artbooks from the publisher, it will also come in a portrait 9" x 12" oversized format.

The book is set to feature hundreds of pieces of art that includes a look at the characters, vampires, and settings of the show. With early concept art, production designs, and storyboards getting a showcase in this release, fans of Nocturne wanting to see how how the visuals came together will have a lot to enjoy when it arrives next year.

Most artbooks get a social media and blog post from Dark Horse, which may still be coming, but the above details of the upcoming hardcover are already available on their website. The listing was spotted while checking their upcoming books list, something I often visit check for date changes and new listings. An official unveiling may still be coming though and there will certainly be some promotion in the run up to its publication in 9 months time.

Castlevania: Nocturne is a dark fantasy animated series that follows the original Castlevania show, moving forward 300 years to 18th-century France during the Revolution. It follows Richter Belmont, a descendant of the legendary vampire-hunting Belmont family, as he works with others to save humanity from being enslaved. The series is based on Konami's original game, Castlevania: Rondo of Blood, which was released in 1993.

With gothic visuals and anime-style action, Powerhouse Animation Studio continued to show their talent on the franchise for Netflix with Nocturne, getting praise from both fans of the original games and those that are new to the world of Castlevania.

This is the second artbook for a Castlevania show, as the original animated offering from Netflix also had a Dark Horse release in 2021, titled Castlevania: The Art of the Animated Series. This artbook also boasted concept art and illustrations as expected, as well as commentary from the team behind it. Although commentary isn't noted in the description of the upcoming book for Nocturne, it will very likely be a included too.
