'The Transformers: The Movie: The Ultimate Visual History' Now Set to Arrive in November

Transformers: The Movie celebrates its 40 year anniversary this year after hitting the big screen in 1986. The follow up to the cartoon series is getting an oversized volume of art to mark the occasion, but The Transformers: The Movie - The Ultimate Visual History has unfortunately been hit with a delay, leaving fans wanting to a peak at the artwork behind the Autobot's battle against the Unicron longer to wait. However, there are some new page previews to entice fans ahead of the release.
Spotted through retail listings of the book, the release has moved from October to November 24th, 2026. The reason for the setback is unknown, as is often then case, but it is at least still within the same year to celebrate the 40th anniversary.
This isn't the only update either, as publisher Insight Editions (Titan Books in the UK) has also updated the page count too, increasing it from 256 pages to 282, which is never a bad thing. It comes with an RRP of $60 or £49.99, but discounts on pre-orders through Amazon already have it reduced by more then 20%, which helps take the sting out of the later release date. As well as this, listings have been updated with previews, some of which you can see in the slider below.
Inside the book is a look at the concept art, designs, screenshots, storyboards, and more for the movie, giving fans a look at what it took to create the big screen debut of Transformers. Alongside the images, it will also share details on the movie's development, the casting, its epic soundtrack, and how it added to the legacy of what is now an iconic franchise.
The original release may not have been a commercial success, but in the many years since it has become a cult classic, making this the perfect way for many to revisit the movie and appreciate the work it took to take the Autobots and Decepticons to a new level.
