'The Marvel Comics Covers of Jack Kirby Volume 3' Receives a Short Delay

Dark Horse Books' upcoming look at the work of comic book legend Jack Kirby arrives later this year, giving fans a chance to enjoy a volume of more classic covers. The wait for The Marvel Comics Covers of Jack Kirby Volume 3Â is a little longer now though, as the release date has been updated by the publisher.
As spotted on the Dark Horse website, the book has been moved from November 3rd to November 24th, a setback of a couple of weeks. The reason is unknown, but delays are frequent as visitors to this website will know, and rarely come with an acknowledgement by publishers. A couple of weeks isn't too painful though, so Kirby fans can still treat themselves to the book before or during the holiday season.
Prior to this, there were already multiple artbooks coming out on November 3rd, making it crowded, as you can find on the Upcoming page. Not only this, but Marvel's Wolverine: The Art of the Game was just revealed by Dark Horse for November 3rd as well, so this move gives the upcoming volume some breathing room.
Volume 3 comes as a 232-page hardcover with a look at comic covers Kirby created between 1969 and 1978, and is the final of three books in the series. The Marvel Comics Covers of Jack Kirby Volume 1Â came in in 2025, and features the years 1961 to 1964. The The Marvel Comics Covers of Jack Kirby Volume 2 arrived in February of 2026 and filled the gap of 1960 to 1968. These books seen above, in combination with the upcoming third release are perfect shelf pieces for comic book collectors.
On June 9th 2026, Dark Horse also released The Art of The Mighty Thor , a volume of art and stories for the God of Thunder from Jack Kirby and Walter Simonson, so there's far from a lack of Kirby content to sink your teeth into in the artbook world. This book contains full issues, as well as commentary and pencils.
