'Marvel's Wolverine: The Art of the Game' Arrives This November from Dark Horse

The highly anticipated game Wolverine is unleashed this September on PlayStation 5, allowing players to take control of everyone's favourite Canadian mutant. This isn't the only thing to look forward to though, as Insomniac Games will share the artwork that helped make it happen in a new artbook, Marvel's Wolverine: The Art of the Game!
Being made in partnership with Dark Horse Books, the book comes as a 9" x 12" hardcover with 208 pages of artwork and insights to pore over. The reveal came with the above cover art, which is not final, and a release date of November 3rd 2025, just a couple of months after the game launches.
It will the artwork of the talented team for the characters in the game, with Omega Red confirmed as seen in the page previews below, as well as Logan himself. Based on what we know about the game, we can expect to see art for Jean Grey and Mystique as well. Locations are also included, such as Madripoor and Tokyo.

Dark Horse was also the publisher behind The Art of Marvel's Spider-Man 2, a game set in the same shared universe as Marvel's Wolverine, and based on that we know we can expect more than just characters and locations, which could include weapons and keyframes.
The page previews highlight that Omega Red can drain the life force from others, and that tactical style gear was explored for Wolverine. Below are more previews, that feature a look at the deadly Sentinels and Madripoor, with Trask Tower being confirmed as a building there.
This exciting look at the game will no doubt be popular among fans, but isn't the biggest surprise either, as PlayStation are very good at giving their first party games the artbook treatment, as are Marvel Games, so both companies working together on this meant the announcement was just a matter of time. It was even featured on my list of artbook predictions from the recent PlayStation State of Play, but is still nonetheless fantastic to see confirmed.

Dark Horse and Marvel Games have been working together for some time now on artbooks, with The Art of Marvel Snap and The Art of Marvel Rivals arriving last year, and Marvel Cosmic Invasion: The Art of the Game being published very soon on August 11th. Dark Horse are one of the biggest publishers for video game artbooks, delivering consistent high-quality hardcovers for some of the biggest titles around, giving people more reasons to look forward to a look at Wolverine's latest blood soaked outing.
Listings for Marvel's Wolverine: The Art of the Game are beginning to appear online and the pre-orders should be going live soon. Future updates will be shared as they happen, as well as a review when the book arrives on November 3rd 2026.
