'The Marvel Comics Covers of Jack Kirby Volume 3' Delivers Iconic Artwork This November

Marvel Comics and Dark Horse Books continue their ongoing partnership to release a look classic comic books and artwork, this time with the third entry of covers from the legend Jack Kirby. 10 years of artwork will be shared for some of the biggest Marvel's characters when The Marvel Comics Covers of Jack Kirby Volume 3 arrives later this year.

The 232-page hardcover takes Kirby fans through more of his iconic covers when it arrives on November 3rd 2026, this time spanning the years of 1969 to 1978, picking up where the last volume left off. This is the final volume in the series, presenting the art in an oversized book in full colour, making it the best way to enjoy his contributions to a variety of comic lines. Inside, readers are treated to cover for Black Panther, The Eternals, The Invaders, Devil Dinosaur, Fantastic Four, Thor, and more.
The Marvel Comics Covers of Jack Kirby Volume 3 wraps up the trilogy of books, which began with The Marvel Comics Covers of Jack Kirby Volume 1 in 2025, featuring over 175 covers from 1961 to 1964. This was followed up in February of this year with The Marvel Comics Covers of Jack Kirby Volume 2, with his work from 1965-1968. The upcoming entry covers the longest period of time, a full decade that saw the end of the Silver Age of comics and continued into the '70s.
This isn't the only series that has been released from Marvel Comics and Dark Horse Books that includes Jack Kirby's work, as there is also the Bullpen Books series that shares artwork too. Already released is The Art of Fantastic Four that highlights Kirby's run from 1961 to 1971, including complete stories.
The next book in that series features art from Kirby, but also veteran Walter Simonson, with The Art of The Mighty Thor coming in June 2026. It includes the Thor Annual 2 and Thor 134 from Jack Kirby. and full stories from Simonson’s run of the character on multiple issues. The book shares pencils and inks with commentary and notes to add details and some history.
Jack Kirby's historic career dates back to the 1930's, including working at Timely Comics, where he co-created Captain America, before they became Marvel Comics. While he worked at other publishers, his work at Marvel is what he is most famous for, building a huge roster of characters and stories. His contributions cannot be understated, including his hand in the creation of The Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Black Panther and more.
Expect more Marvel books from Dark Horse in the future, including releases that are not artbooks. This relationship also extends to Marvel video games as well, including the recently revealed Marvel Cosmic Invasion: The Art of the Game.
