Ubisoft gave everyone an official look at Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced this week, revealing the updates and changes they have made to the 2013 pirate adventure entry in the series. Fans are now ready to venture into the world of Edward Kenway once again, but those wanting a little more will also find treasure trove of artwork in the new artbook, The Art of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced.

Like the game, the artbook was not a well kept secret, with listings being posted online early, as reported here. Now though, the product pages on retailer sites like Amazon are official and include all the details of what the book will be, ending speculation as to what it might include.

The Art of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced is set to arrive on July 14th 2026, just days after the game's July 9th release. The cover art seen above will come on the 192-page hardcover that is being published by Titan Books, and it will have an RRP of $50.

Collector's and fans will know that there was an artbook for the original game, The Art of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, so it wasn't clear what whether the new book would be a reprint, an updated edition, or entirely new. Thanks to the description of the book, it is confirmed it will feature new content, as quoted below;

"The Art of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is a showcase of selected artwork from the world of Edward Kenway, faithfully remade with increased fidelity through the power of modern art technologies.

Within these pages you’ll find the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy reimagined in intense and vibrant detail. There’s inspiring concept art, high fidelity characters, photorealistic textures, high resolution ships, and immersive environment art, all beautifully lit by dynamic lighting. Accompanying each piece is the artist’s unique thought process in their own words."

There are no preview pages available at this time, so itis unknown if there will be side-by-side comparisons to the original, as seen in The Art of Dead Space (2023), or if it will focus entirely on new artwork. It's an release that will no doubt have players excited though, especially as the artwork for the original game was superb, so more is always most welcome.

It's not too often that a remake of a game gets an artbook either, but it makes sense here as the Assassin's Creed series has a large catalogue of them now, with the last releases being for The Art of Assassin's Creed Valhalla, The Art of Assassin's Creed Mirage, and The Art of Assassin's Creed Shadows. Titan Books being the publisher here is interesting, because they did the previous artbooks up until these last three entries, as the series moved to Dark Horse Books. Moving back to Titan Books after they worked The Art of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag feels fitting for this revisit to 18th Century Havana.

Future updates for The Art of Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced will be shared here and expect a review as well when the book arrives on July 14th 2026. Those interested in the book can pre-order a copy for their own collection of loot below.
