Lost in Cult Reveal 'Mundaun: Design Works'

Lost in Cult continue their relentless schedule of announcements with another in their Design Works series. This time, the publisher has set its focus on Mundaun, the 2021 horror first-person shooter, celebrated for its hand drawn visual style.

Mundaun: Design Works has been revealed with posts on social media, with the book being made immediately available to pre-order, as has been the case for their previous announcements for the ongoing book series. Also like those books, this will be a deep dive into the game, perfect for those that want to read insights into how the game was created. This upcoming release was made in partnership with developer Hidden Fields and the game's publisher Annapurna Interactive, with Andreas Inderwildi as the author. Of course, this book will feature a look at the sketchwork-style visuals that makes the game unique. The artwork will be featured throughout and show how the creepy visuals came to fruition for the game. Interviews are also included in the 200-page hardcover book, done with developer Michel Ziegler and the composer Michel Barengo.

As is tradition for the Design Works series, there is a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition, with the latter being limited and only available to order up until August 1st 2025. Both versions are expected Q3 2026 and feature the following;

Lost in Cult are making waves in the industry for their commitment to not only physical releases of books and vinyl, but game preservation too. They recently announced a new game publishing arm called EDITIONS, which will release both collector's editions and retail editions of physical games for select indie titles.
