The end of year rush is in full swing with another new release joining The Artbook Collector YouTube Channel. This time is a look back at some of the video game catalogue of Games Workshop in The Art of Warhammer Video Games!

In partnership with publisher DK, the 232-page hardcover features 40 titles inside, giving readers a look at some of the art that helped take them from the tabletop to the screen. The book was released on November 25th 2025 and features games such as Space Marine 2, Dawn of War, Boltgun, Vermintide, Hired Gun, Rogue Trader, and many more.

Video games for the Warhammer universe have been around for over 30 years, spanning multiple consoles, genres, and developers. From HeroQuest in 1991, to 2024's Space Marine 2, the games have been coming at least every other year and more are on the way. Just like the tabletop miniature game they are based on, they come with a lot of variety too, including genres styles such as real-time strategy, single player action, multiplayer shooters, and more. Despite the book covering 40 games, it is only a selection of what has been launched. Upcoming games include Boltgun 2, Space Marine 3, Warhammer Survivors, and Dark Heresy. With the continued success of Games Workshop coming year after year, the future for the video game scene is looking bright and very few franchises have made the transition so perfectly. Perhaps more artbooks will also be on the way too!
