Another new release joins The Artbook Collector YouTube channel this week, this time celebrating 15 years of Wargaming's armoured warfare game in WORLD OF TANKS. Journey Through Art!

Cook and Becker partnered with the game studio to look back on the last 5 years of updates and events for World of Tanks, including the recent 2.0 update, in this 256-page hardcover book. This is done through the concept art for the online game, giving readers a look at the tanks themselves, the epic battle keyframes, loading screen concepts, location art, medals, and more. All of this is alongside insights and interviews with some of the developers.

As seen in the video preview, the WORLD OF TANKS. Journey Through Art chapters are split into events and updates, including the Bootcamp and Stories, Halloween events, Steel Hunter, Return of the Waffenträger, among others. This breaks up the distinct modes and genres of World of Tanks, highlighting the broad range of options for players of the game through the talent of the artists.

The book was sold exclusively through the Cook and Becker website, coming in three versions, a Standard Edition, Collector's Edition, and Deluxe Edition. Despite being released at the end of October, even the Standard Editions has sold out, highlighting its popularity. The publisher has since informed me that they are looking at the potential of a second print run though, so keep an eye out if interested in case that does happen.

A full review with deeper thoughts on the content, book build quality, pricing and more can be found here if you would like to know more, I was very impressed with the book - Book Review.

World of Tanks was first launched in 2010 by Wargaming and has remained a popular game and has been released on multiple platforms, including PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and mobile. It features hundreds of vehicles that existed in throughout history, from those used in battles, to some only found in blueprints. The game boasts multiple games modes, giving players the choice of large team battles, a battle royale mode, and more. The game shows no signs of slowing down, so perhaps there will be another artbook to celebrate its 20th anniversary too!
