The Blood of Dawnwalker from developer Rebel Wolves arrives this September, inviting players into the world of vampires in an exciting new role-playing game. A debut release from former developers that worked on The Witcher already has players eagerly anticipating the game, but now fans have more to look forward to, with the reveal of a new artbook, The Blood of Dawnwalker: The Art of the Game.

The Blood of Dawnwalker: The Art of the Game

The 192-page hardcover book comes by way of Titan Books and was first revealed by Game Informer. It has since be spotted on the publisher's website as a new listing and arrives on November 24th 2026, less than a few months after the game's launch in early September. Some listings have begun appearing ahead of pre-orders going live, including Amazon US, with the book expected to be sold at major retailers like previous artbooks from the publisher.

As expected, the book will highlight the artwork behind the upcoming release, sharing a look at early concepts through to final designs. This is all alongside written insights from author Matthew Pellett and interviews conducted with the creative minds behind the story of Coen and the setting of 14th-century Europe. Part of the official description is as follows;

"Go behind the scenes of Coen’s journey in this book, featuring exclusive interviews and artwork exploring the creation of this intricate and dark world of monsters, characters and scenery. Packed with hundreds of illustrations from concept art to final designs, this book is essential for anyone interested in video-game art, especially medieval, fantasy, and supernatural settings."

Most recently, The Blood of Dawnwalker was shown at Summer Game Fest on June 5th and was featured on my list of games likely to get an artbook from that showcase (found here). While this is the first title from the developer, this book isn't a huge surprise given the world they have created and the impressive visuals of the game. Historical settings and fantasy will keep artists busy, so there is no doubt a wealth of material that can be shown in The Blood of Dawnwalker: The Art of the Game when it arrives in November.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is an action RPG set in 14th-century Europe, a time of death a disease, but also in the case of this version, vampires too. Players step into the role of Coen, a newly turned vampire that can walk in both day and night, presenting different ways to approach completing quests. The game gives you 30 days to complete the story, with quests advancing the time, so exploration of the open world is still possible as well. It launces on September 3rd for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S/X, with Bandai Namco publishing the game.

The early commitment from Rebel Wolves to release an artbook is a fantastic sign that they are confident in their new game and have some interesting artwork to share from their team. As already noted in the official description of the book, this could appeal to not just those that play the game, but also the many people that enjoy vampires, historical art, and concept art in general.

If The Blood of Dawnwalker: The Art of the Game interests you, you can wishlist the book below, and those outside the US can expect listings to begin appearing elsewhere. A copy of the book will be joining the collection here later in the year, so be sure to come back if you want to know more when it arrives on November 24th.
