On The Artbook Collector YouTube channel this week is a book release from 2012 that shares a collection of incredible Star Wars art from multiple decades and media. Star Wars Art: Illustration is a huge artbook that is perfect for those wanting a range of styles of a galaxy far, far away!

The 176-page hardcover was published by Titan Books on October 1st 2012 and includes a look at illustrations for the movies, comics, games, book covers, prints, and more. It shares a look at well-known pieces, previously unpublished images, and rarer artwork, making it a great release in the collection for any Star Wars fan. You can see a preview of the book below.

The third book in the series curated by George Lucas, Star Wars Art: Illustration was curated by George Lucas and is the third entry in the 'Star Wars Art' series. It shares not just the movie art, but the expanded universe and the different forms of media it entered. Each image is credited to an artist, with how it was made and where it was featured, such as a poster, pirint, or book, always an appreciated feature in an artbook.

Each piece is fantastic and showcase the talent of the many artists that have work on Star Wars, including Mark Chiarello, Dave Dorman, Hugh Fleming, Ralph McQuarrie, Jon J. Muth, Tsuneo Sanda, Drew Struzan, Jerry Vanderstelt, and many more. There is an interesting and eclectic mix of art within the variety of styles shown too, from action scenes, to posters, and creative scenes of Siths and Jedi rocking out in bands on stage.

The latest artbook release for Star Wars was The Art of Star Wars: The Acolyte from Abrams Books, which includes a huge amount of concept art in a well-designed book.
