With August coming to an end, September begins the heavy wave of upcoming artbooks for the rest of the year. If you're a regular visitor of the site, you'll have seen a lot of articles on book delays, an unfortunately reality of the publishing world. However, while they likely aren't over for the remainder of 2025, summer took the brunt of the schedule changes and so we have a lot now coming over the next 4 months. Check out some here!
2nd - The Art of Marvel Rivals
Marvel Rivals is a hugely popular 'hero shooter' with a bold visual style for some of Marvel's most iconic characters. Although players praise the gameplay itself, what stands out even to a casual observer is the character designs. It makes sense then that NetEase would share the artwork for the game and that is now happening. Published by Dark Horse, The Art of Marvel Rivals is a 208-pgae hardcover artbook that will be welcome on the shelf of many.
9th - Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts: The Art of the Movie
The teaming up of Bucky Barnes, Yelena, The Red Guardian, Ghost, and John Walker marked the on-screen debut of the Thunderbolts, a new team in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With a look at the introduction of new fan favourite Bob, the artbook for the movie is likely to be heavy on character art overall, never a bad thing when Marvel Studios' boast incredible character artists, as seen on the cover piece from Andy Park.

15th - WORLD OF TANKS. Journey Through Art
Cook & Becker are publishing an artbook dedicated to the free-to-play game from developer Wargaming. The wide-format hardcover will showcase the war-torn maps and the many tanks players can choose from, as well as keyframes of epic battles. WORLD OF TANKS. 16th - Starfield Visual Compendium
The sci-fi RPG from Bethesda is finally getting an artbook two years after being released in September of 2023. Like their previous artbooks for DOOM, Wolfenstein, Fallout 4, and more, Starfield Visual Compendium is being published by Dark Horse Books. It's a hefty release too, coming as a hardcover with 368 pages of art and insights for the game, so expect it to test the strength of your bookshelf. Players of the the game will no doubt find a lot to pore over in this one and hopefully there will be plenty of stock after release for the likely future PS5 port of the game too, growing the fanbase of the Starfield. 23rd - The Art of Bob's Burgers
This book features a look at 15 seasons and the movie of the hit animated show through artwork and details of its creation from the shows original creator, Loren Bouchard. It also includes insights from Phil Hayes, the art director of the show, and the team of animators and writers. It boasts sketches, photos, animation cells, and more, making it the perfect addition to the shelf of any fan.

23rd - Disney/Pixar The Color of Toy Story: A 30th Anniversary Celebration of Colorscripts and Creativity
It's hard to go wrong with a Pixar artbook, the artists on the movies have always been incredible and that's always reflected in these releases for Chronicle Books. This time though, it's not focused on the latest release, but will run through the last four Toy Story movies, letting those that loved the movies relive them through early artwork. It's the perfect chance to add an artbook with a look at Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the toys if you missed out before.
Disney/Pixar The Color of Toy Story: A 30th Anniversary Celebration of Colorscripts and Creativity is a 328-page hardcover that is coming very soon. So whether you're one of the many Pixar artbook collectors or would love to add some nostalgia to your life, this is the book for you!
23rd - The Art of Fantastic Four
'Marvel's first family' is getting a showcase from Dark Horse with a look at the artwork from their co-creator Jack Kirby. His iconic work included a long run on The Fantastic Four, with this volume covering his run from 1961 to 1971, include complete stories from some of the issues too.
With the recent movie landing well with fans, The Art of Fantastic Four is a great way to see some of the early stories of Mister Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and the Thing.
30th - Marvel Studios' Infinity Saga - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2: The Art of the Movie
After some delays have pushed the release date back, Marvel Studios' Infinity Saga - Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2: The Art of the Movie is now set to be released at the end of September. This is another in the series from Titan Books that is rereleasing the Infinity Saga artbooks from Marvel Studios, now the best way to buy the books due to the pricing, availability and improvements in print quality and binding.
The original artbook for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is one of the strongest in the series, with a look at the art for the many characters and worlds of the movie from James Gunn. If you liked previous Marvel Studios' artbooks, you'll no doubt enjoy this one too.
