The G.I. Joe Classified Series Receives the Artbook Treatment in 2027 from Dark Horse

G.I. Joe has been going strong for over 60 years, and there is no sign of the popular line of toys and its multimedia spin-offs going away anytime soon. Their recent collection, the Classified Series, added more figures and vehicles to Hasbro's huge catalogue, and can soon be explored in an exciting new book, G.I. JOE: The Definitive Visual Guide to the G.I. JOE Classified Series 2020-2025.
Revealed in a press post by the publisher Dark Horse Books, this look at the toy line is set to arrive on June 1st, 2027, coming as a large 336-page, 9" x 12" hardcover. The volume will chronicle the releases in the Classified Series from 2020 to 2025, including photography, artwork, and character profiles, making it an interesting addition to the collection of any fan.
The promotional photography and packaging illustrations take the centre stage in the release, celebrating the artists that work on G.I. Joe, including insights from the creatives themselves. It will also be written by Brian Hickey, the visual artist and International Design Award–winner. The popular 6 inch line of characters has been praised for the level detail and articulation for each figure, with this upcoming release set to explore their designs in rich detail.

The G.I. Joe Classified Series is a modern 6-inch-scale action figure line based on the G.I. Joe franchise from Hasbro. It began in 2020 and is a reimagining of the classic 3.75-inch figures, including updated versions of Duke, Snake Eyes, Scarlett, Roadblock, and more, as well as vehicles and accessories. The versions in this series are highly articulated and detailed, expanding beyond the original characters with additions from across G.I. Joe's history, while also featuring variants. This all makes the Classified Series perfect for collectors and this new book a great companion to add to the display shelf.
