The Clan of Two has finally hit the big screen, continuing the adventures of Din Djarin and Grogu to the delight of fans that enjoyed the series. This has also come with an update to the upcoming artbook, The Art of Star Wars: the Mandalorian and Grogu, as the final cover art has now been confirmed.

After using a couple of placeholder images, the above artwork from veteran Star Wars artist Doug Chiang was confirmed to be the final cover art, as shared by the author Phil Szostak on social media. A slightly less refined version of this image was used as one of the placeholders, but the updated artwork will be now be used in the final release. You can see them both below for a comparison.
The upcoming book features 256 pages are of artwork and insights for not only the new movie, but also The Mandalorian Season 3Â and The Book of Bobba Fett. This continues the series recent efforts to go back and plug the artbook gaps that happened following a break in releases. Before this year, the last release was The Art of Star Wars: The Mandalorian (Season Two) from 2022, which means that this book will cover the adventures of the unlikely duo since that season ended.
Expect to see concept art for the characters, locations, technology, keyframes and more, all created by some of the best artists in the industry. As well as this, their insights will be shared throughout for additional insights into the visual design. Lucasfilm is unique in that it has an in-house art team, as opposed to hiring all of their talent on a contract for each project like the vast majority studios. This allows them to retain a core team of artists that deliver stunning artwork, a lot of which is always wonderfully presented by Abrams Books.
Earlier this year The Art of Star Wars: The Acolyte was released to break to hiatus and continue the long running tradition of live-action Star Wars releases getting an artbook. Coming June 30th is The Art of Star Wars: Andor that will cover both seasons of the critically praised show. There is no news yet on artbooks for Ashoka, Obi-Wan Kenobi, or Skeleton Crew, but fingers crossed these will be coming to for Star Wars fans.
The Mandalorian & Grogu follows Din Djarin and his now adopted son Grogu, as they begin a new adventure after the events of the series on Disney+. It was directed by Jon Favreau, who co-wrote the film with Dave Filoni, and was released on May 22nd 2026. Critics have not been overly fond of the movie, but as is often the case, fans are disagreeing and rating the movie much higher on aggregate websites, which could have many of them interested in this new book.
A copy of The Art of the Mandalorian and Grogu will be joining the collection when it arrives on November 3rd to be reviewed and previewed and those interested can order the latest books in the series for their own shelves below;
