'The Art of Marvel Animation’s Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man' Gets A Short Delay

The upcoming artbook for Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man from Marvel Studios Animation has received a date change, but fortunately it is only a short push back.
The Art of Marvel Animation’s Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man appeared online in September and settled on the release date of June 9th. Now though, the hardcover from Abrams Books is set for release on June 16th 2026. The release is still a while away, so date changes like this are not unexpected, but the good news for fans is that it is only a week long delay.
There have been a couple of other updates too, with the first being that the page count has increased from 224 to 240, as spotted on Amazon US. This isn't set in stone though, as page counts are the one thing that can change more than the release date, sometime only being updated after the book has been released. The increase is always good news though, so fans may be treated to more art than initially detailed.
The unfortunate update is for the price, as the RRP has increased from $45 to $50. Artbooks have been creeping up in price, but thankfully not as much as many other retail and collectible products. The price has not been increased in the UK though, which could indicate that tariffs have played a role in the price rise, but that can only be speculated on. Regardless though, the book can still be pre-ordered for $45 with a discount, something that's not unusual for an artbook.
The Art of Marvel Animation’s Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is set to include photos, sketches, storyboards, concept art, animation cels, and more for this new take on Spider-Man. As well as this, interviews with the creative team behind the show will provide insights for those wanting more details too. It will showcase the vintage comic book art style that makes the animation stand out amongst other releases from the studio, perfect for those that enjoyed series.
Abrams Books have partnered with Marvel in the past, seemingly becoming the go to publisher of their animated releases, which includes The Art of Marvel Studios’ What If...? from August of 2024 and X-Men ’97: The Art and Making of the Animated Series from July 2025.
