'The Art and Soul of Dune: Part Three' Slipcase and Cover Art Revealed

Dune: Part Three arrives at the end of the year and wraps up the trilogy of movies from director Denis Villeneuve, bringing more spectacular visuals to the big screen. As with any movie that boasts impressive design, there are artists behind there creation, some of which will be shared in The Art and Soul of Dune: Part Three, which has now been given its final cover art.
The 240-page hardcover from Legendary Publishing in the US, and Titan Books in the UK and Europe, will hit shelves on December 22nd 2026, sharing a look at the concept art, storyboards, and set photography of the movie. The final detail not shown on listings was the cover art, which has been revealed for both the slipcase (seen above) and the book itself (below).
The slipcase design has gone the graphic design route with the title in large, which isn't an unusual approach, while the book shows a large ship and shadowy figures. These could be the Bene Gesserit, but it could also be another group entirely, especially as this depiction of Dune's universe is not running short of cloaks.
In case the title didn't give it away, this is the third "The Art and Soul of Dune" book for this adaptation of Frank Herbert's Dune story. Like many companion books for movies, this is not a dedicated artbook, but a hybrid art and making of release, sharing a look at the on-set production, not just the concepts. Expect a look at the character designs, weapons, vehicles, set builds, and movie stills, all highlighting the artistry and process that goes into creating Arrakis and the epic end of Paul Atreides story. This will all be alongside written insights and interviews, going beyond the imagery and adding a little more spice.
A couple of preview pages have also been shared for The Art and Soul of Dune: Part Three, although they don't share too much to avoid spoilers. The contents page also doesn't reveal the names of the chapters, likely for the same reason, so while it is always nice to get previews of an artbook, the two seen here don't give us much to go on in terms of page design and presentation. They do however capture the incredible scale and unique architecture of the Dune movies. Check them out below.
Dune: Part Three premiers on December 16th, 2026 and again sees Timothée Chalamet return as Paul Atreides, set almost 20 after Part Two ended. The third movie is an adaptation of the book Dune: Messiah, written by Frank Herbert in 1969, which sees Atreides in his rise to power as Emperor, but in no less danger as enemies are all around him. The cinematography, specials effects, and world design of the previous movies are exceptional, which will no doubt be the same in Part Three, making this book another very enticing shelf-filler for fans and collectors.
