Last month it was revealed that Insight Editions had partnered with the art and collectibles group Mondo to release a new artbook, Mondo: The Art of Godzilla , perfect for fans of the iconic monster and collectibles. The final cover art has now been revealed, but does come with a release date delay.

The final cover art can be seen above, which is almost identical to the placeholder used when the book was first listed. It was a cover that I was personally fond of, so I'm happy to see it largely unchanged for the official image. You can see these changes below, which show small changes to the background and colour, as well as a Mondo sticker added in the top corner.

Unfortunately, this does come with a delay, with the book first set to arrive from Insight Editions (Titan Books in the UK) on September 15th, but now has it coming a month later on October 13th 2026. The reason for the setback is unknown, as is usually the case, but there are many things that cause date changes. September was already a heavy month of releases, with 13 being tracked on the Upcoming page, so moving into the quieter month of October isn't a bad thing for the book.

Mondo: The Art of Godzilla is a 144-page hardcover that features the artwork from the Mondo team for the legendary Kaiju, also highlighting how the products based on Godzilla came together. Chip Carter authors the book and interviewed the artists so they could share how they created their designs for posters, statues, records, and more. Fans will get a showcase of multiple art styles and the history of Mondo, making this a unique artbook for your shelf.
