Another new book has joined the collection here and can now be previewed on The Artbook Collector YouTube channel, one that gives Marvel Studios' fans a look at the latest entry in their ongoing series, Marvel Studios' Thunderbolts: The Art of the Movie!
This is the 4th book to come in a slipcase with 5 lithograph prints from Marvel, following their inclusion beginning last year. The 224-page hardcover book dives into the concept art behind the movie, with a focus on character art as expected given the cast of the Thunderbolts team. Costume designs for Yelena, Bucky, The Red Guardian, Ghost, Taskmaster, and of course, Bob, are all featured here for readers to enjoy. It also showcases keyframes, locations, storyboards, and more, giving a broader look at the work the artists do.
As expected in a Marvel Studios artbook, the pages are well designed and the artists are credited on each page, something that has always been done well. It joins a now very large collection of books, being the 45th 'Art of' entry to be released, with another 6 Declassified books for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Agent Carter also having been published too. Other MCU books have been released or announced by Abrams books too. Marvel Studios' The Fantastic Four: First Steps - The Art of the Movie is currently the only future entry officially listed for a release from Marvel, although the Daredevil: Born again artbook has been confirmed by artist Jackson Sze.
