This weeks preview on The Artbook Collector YouTube channel is Elysium: The Art of the Film!

This 176-page hardcover from publisher Titan Books dives in the 2013 sci-fi movie from director Neill Blomkamp. The book offers a look at the concept art and photography behind Elysium, alongside insights from the creatives to give more details on how the movie came to life. Legendary designer Syd Mead also has input in this release too, as well as interviews from the cast of the movie.

The art included covers the characters, weapons, locations, vehicles, robots, key moments, and more, making the book is perfect for fans of the movie and sci-fi in general.

Elysium was released in 2013 and is Blomkamp's follow up to District 9, again using inventive sci-fi designs and concepts as a backdrop to look at real-world social issues, this time class divide and inequality. Matt Damon play Max Da Costa that suffers an accident and is left in fatal condition on the surface of Earth, which is overpopulated and has left people in poverty. With help from others and technology, he fights the elite classes and their mercenaries to make his way to Elysium, a space station with advanced technology to get medical treatment.
