Abrams Books have unfortunately been pushing back their long-awaited Star Wars artbooks to later in 2026, giving patient fans a little longer to wait. All three books scheduled for release in the year have suffered, including a look at Andor and the Clan of Two.
After spotting the delay of the the artbook for Star Wars: The Acolyte, the other two upcoming releases for live-action projects have also been found to have suffered setbacks too. The Art of Star Wars: Andor and The Art of Star Wars: the Mandalorian and Grogu are now coming later than expected, as confirmed on retailer listings.

First, The Art of Star Wars: Andor has been delayed from May 19th to June 30th, the second date change for the book after being slated for March when revealed. The 272-page hardcover book will showcase the concept art for both seasons of the hit show, as well as insights from author Phil Szostak. When the artbooks stopped for the Star Wars series after The Mandalorian Season 2, people were sad that Andor was skipped, but by including both seasons, it now fills that gap.

The Art of the Mandalorian and Grogu will not only feature concept art for the movie, but it is also plugging previous artbook gaps by including The Mandalorian Season 3 and The Book of Bobba Fett. This site had the book as coming in April, as confirmed on social media by Phil Szostak, however, other sources updated its release to September. Now though, the book has been pushed back again and is now expected November 3rd 2026, more than 6 months after the movie's premier.
The reasons for the delays are unknown and done in silence. Unfortunately in the artbook world, there is a lot of noise when announcing a book, but delays go unnoticed unless you manually check, or get an email notification from retailers for a pre-order. Many delays happen shortly after being announced too, despite being revealed a long time in advance of a release, and while there are lots of reasons for setbacks, nothing has been done to minimise them or change how and when books are announced.
Hopefully, for all three of the upcoming artbooks from Abrams it will be the last setbacks, as it has now been 4 years since we have had an artbook for the live-action projects. There is also still no news on books for Ashoka, Obi-Wan Kenobi, or Skeleton Crew either, but hopefully they will be coming in the future too.
Future updates for the books will be shared here and you can order copies of the books below;
