Video Preview - The Art of Star Wars: Andor

This week on The Artbook Collector YouTube channel is a preview of the highly anticipated release, The Art of Star Wars: Andor from Abrams Books!

This volume of artwork was released on June 30th 2026 and covers all episodes of the hit show, from its inception after Rogue One ended, to finishing the second season. It comes with 288 pages of artwork and was written by Phil Szostak, author of previous Star Wars artbooks. Check out a preview of the book below.

Concept art can be found for the characters, costumes, weapons, vehicles, locations, and more, everything you expect in a look at a galaxy far, far away. Like the many other Star Wars artbooks, insights are shared for the designs and creation of the show too, with a huge amount of detail shared through interviews with Tony Gilroy and the rest of the creative team, including the artists themselves. This then is the perfect companion to the show, and an excellent book to have alongside The Art of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story that the series was a prequel to.

In my review, I spoke highly of the release, complimenting not just the stunning artwork, but the presentation and amount of detail shared. Star Wars has a rich catalogue of artbooks, including for its movies and live-action shows, with this being another superb addition to that line-up. After a long gap between artbook releases, the Abrams series returned earlier this year with another fantastic book, The Art of Star Wars: The Acolyte, sharing a look at the first live-action release for the High Republic period. Another book is coming on November 3rd 2026, The Art of Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu, which will cover not just the new show, but the third season of The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett, completing the artbook releases for the adventures of Din Djarin and Grogu.
