Video Preview - The Art of Remember Me

The latest book preview on The Artbook Collector YouTube channel takes us back to 2013 with The Art of Remember Me, a look at Don't Nod's future set action game.

The 184-page hardcover was released on June 4th, 2013 by Dark Horse Books, coming out at the same time as the game itself. It features hundreds of pieces of concept art for Remember Me, giving players a look at the designs that helped create Neo-Paris and its characters. You can watch the preview below.

Inside the early and unused designs for the protagonist Nilin are shared along with other characters, with a lot of costume design to establish the world of Paris in 2084. The locations are also showcased, from the poorer and run down areas, to the more futuristic and pristine environments where the wealthy live. Storyboards, animation exploration, and commentary from the creative team are also included, which made the book the perfect companion to the game.

This was Don't Nod's first game after being founded, but since have only released one other artbook, The Art of Jusant: The Great Expedition from publisher Pix'n Love. One of the co-founders who worked on Remember Me's art, Aleksi Briclot, also has his own artbook that features artwork for the game called Multiverse: The Art of Aleksi Briclot.

For those that don't know, Remember Me is an action-adventure game from Don't Nod that was published by Capcom in 2013. It is set in Neo-Paris in 2084, a time where memories can be digitally accessed, changed, and sold. Players control Nilin, a memory hunter that gets caught up in a conspiracy while trying to find her own memories. It grew fans thanks to its melee combat, platforming, puzzles, and visual design, the latter making it perfect for the artbook treatment.
