'The Art of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty' Delayed Just Before its Release to June

The Art of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has had a tumultuous time getting to shelves in the West, with that continuing just days before its May release. After almost a year of setbacks, the upcoming dive into the dark fantasy game Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty from developer Team NINJA has been pushed another month, now expected to arrive in June.
As before, no specific reason has been given, nor has it even been acknowledged as a delay, but this time the updated information was spotted in a social media post from the publisher Udon Entertainment, who shared that the book is coming June 23rd. Prior to this, the book was expected in less than a week's time on May 26th, following multiple delays. This new release date is now a year later than originally planned when it was announced, which was in June 2025. It is now also a couple of weeks shy of arriving 3 years after the Japanese original from Kadokawa.
Listings have also been updated on retailer websites, but it is unknown exactly when this delay happened. It was certainly very recent if it was not today, as it was checked by myself not long ago because a copy is joining the collection to be reviewed.
Those that frequent the website will know that delays are very common, sadly affecting most artbooks, but The Art of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty has been hit harder than most, despite being a translated book, as opposed to an Udon Entertainment original. Hopefully this is the last setback for the release, but a social media post is an indication that this could be locked in, because the publisher has shared almost nothing on the book up to this point.
Inside the hardcover will be concept art and illustrations for the characters, enemies, locations, weapons, armour, and more, giving fans the chance to enjoy Wo Long's dark fantasy world through the talent of the art team behind it. As well as translating the book into English, it also upgrades the original softcover to a hardcover, in keeping with other books from Udon.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty was released on March 3rd 2023 by Team NINJA and transports players back to fall of the Han Dynasty in China, but with a demonic twist. Players take on creatures and demons with 'soulslike' gameplay combined with fast-paced action. The game went on to sell over a million copies within a couple of months and has had over 5 million players, with help from its availability on Xbox Game Pass.
