December 29th 2025

The upcoming English translation of the artbook for Elden Ring's DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, has been delayed. Elden Ring: Official Art Book Volume III from Udon Entertainment will be arriving later than expected after a new release date for the book appeared online.

The first delay moved the book's release January 2026, but this second delay has pushed it again by another 2 months, giving it a new date of March 3rd 2026. The 320-page hardcover will include all of the content of the Japanese original that hit shelves in December of 2024.

The delay was spotted online and confirmed on multiple retailer websites, including Amazon US and Barnes and Noble, both of which have been reliable sources in the past and make the story safe to report. Amazon UK has a date in February, but is much more unreliable with dates than the American counterpart. The Udon website itself gives no specific date, only early Q1 of 2026, which this no longer is. It also notes the original November date on the same page too, leaving fans to rely on retailers to get the most up to date information.

Delays are common for artbooks, but sadly rarely publicly acknowledged or explained. As this was only just spotted while working on a video, I cannot give specifics on when the delay happened. It can be hard to do this as different websites get updated at different times, with those even varying from the same company in different countries, as seen with Amazon.

Like the The Art of Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty that has just also been delayed by the publisher, this is an English translated edition of the original book published in Japan by Kadokawa. However, not only will this translate the text (although there is very little in previous volumes), but it will come as a hardcover, a better option than a paperback. A couple of page previews can be seen below.

Elden Ring: Official Art Book Volume III features art for FromSoftware's hugely popular RPG, this time diving into the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion. The new version is coming out more than a year after the original, which is not unusual with these releases from Udon Entertainment.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree launched in 2024 and became critically acclaimed along with the base game. It introduced the new region of the Land of Shadow and the demigod antagonist, Miquella. It has a large map to explore, with more enemies and boss fights that continue its brutal difficulty. Shadow of the Erdtree is now one of the highest-selling DLC of all time, so there will be many players with their eyes on this book.

If there are any more updates on the book they will be reported here and a copy will be reviewed when it arrives March 3rd. Those wanting a copy of their own can order Elden Ring: Official Art Book Volume III here;
