DINK! from Shaun Mooney is Bringing Chunky Art to Kickstarter

Artist Shaun Mooney has been working in the video game industry for 20 years, helping to shape worlds with his artwork, as well as developing his 'chunky' visual style. Now though, he's working on his own artbook called DINK!, which will launch on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter.
The book has an A4 landscape format with up to 100 pages of his personal art, both old and new. DINK! comes with the subtitle, 'The Chunky Hard Surface Art of Shaun Mooney', as it will feature his work on spaceships, vehicles, robots, and more, in his standout style. The designs featured inside use a variety of techniques too, including ink, digital painting, and 3D modelling, highlighting his ability to use many mediums to create his designs.
Right now, Shaun Mooney has created around 70 pages for DINK!, with the rest hoping to be finished later in the year. He is working along fellow artist Rob Turpin on the page design and will launch the campaign when it has all come together, with goal to get enough funding to publish the book.
Fans of sci-fi art with a bold style will enjoy Mooney's work, which carries a lot of character and, as you can see in the art shared here, is appropriately referred to as chunky. His work includes epic spaceships, insect-style tanks, bulky service vehicles, and more.
Shaun Mooney has worked as a concept artist, Art Director, game designer, and animator in the games industry, helping to create over 30 titles across multiple visual styles. His releases include Injustice: Gods Among Us, Lego Star Wars, Wipeout Omega Collection, Tron: Catalyst, and The Lord of the Rings: Guardians of Middle-earth.
The chunky style will also be present in Trash City Turbo, an upcoming game from Machinefun, an indie studio co-founded by Mooney. In the game, players use street sweeper vehicles to clean up levels as quickly as possible, using boosts and trick jumps to get faster times. You can see some early gameplay below.
