November 11th 2025 Refusing to slow down, Lost in Cult continue their commitment to both physical media and their ongoing Design Works series with a new entry coming in 2026 for the award-winning horror series, Amnesia . Amnesia: Design Works sees the UK publisher partner with developer Frictional Games, highlighting the creation and art behind the insanity and scares of the original indie hit and its sequels. Pre-orders for the 200+ page hardcover book were made available at the same time the book was announced on social media today and its expected to ship in Q3-Q4 of 2026. Authored by Toussaint Egan, players will get an inside look at the development of the series' four releases – Amnesia: The Dark Descent , Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs , Amnesia: Rebirth , and Amnesia: The Bunker . This makes it the perfect addition to the shelf of those that have felt their palms sweat while attempting to make it to the end of each game and came out of the other side as fans. It also includes interviews with the team at Frictional Games, including studio co-founder Thomas Grip, Fredrik Olsson, Dan Pinchbeck, Jessica Curry, and more. Of course, a Design Works entry isn't complete without imagery included too, with this release coming with concept art behind the creepy creatures that have you running to the nearest safe spot. Expect a look at the enemies, environments, assets, and more that helped to create the Amnesia games. Lost in Cult remain consistent in their approach to their Design Works series, as again a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition are available to pre-order. The Deluxe Edition of Amnesia: Design Works can only be ordered until 9th of January though, so be sure to grab this before then if you want exclusive goodies. The series choose to feature intense scares and puzzles over combat, beginning with the very first title, Amnesia: The Dark Descent  in 2010. This first entry saw the protagonist Daniel explore Castle Brennenburg, while avoiding the creepy enemies that risk turning him insane. Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs  then came in 2013, Amnesia: Rebirth launched in 2020, and the most recent entry, Amnesia: The Bunker , arrived in 2023.
