We head to a world of robot dinosaurs and creatures in the latest preview on The Artbook Collector YouTube channel, because this is a look at The Art of Horizon Zero Dawn.

Released in February 2027, the 192-page volume of art from publisher Titan Books features a look at the early concepts and designs from Guerrilla Games' art team and Karakter Design Studio. This version of the book is the Limited Edition, coming with a slipcase and a dustjacket variant, as well as signatures from some of the art team that worked on Horizon Zero Dawn. Check out the preview below.

Stunning artwork for Aloy and the rest of the characters can be found inside, exploring the combination of traditional woven clothing and the sci-fi materials of a post-apocalyptic world set in the future. The robots themselves are given a showcase too, including some keyframes that capture their scale and the encounters players experience in-game.

The environments and their range of biomes and colours are collected here as expected as well, all of which were wonderfully executed in the final game. Commentary from the creatives are included with the artwork, giving further insights into this unique take on the future. Horizon Zero Dawn was, and still is, a visual powerhouse, with this book shining the spotlight on the equally impressive concept art and team that helped build it.

Horizon Zero Dawn is an open-world RPG developed by Guerrilla Games for the PlayStation 4, which launched in February 2017. It takes place in a future where humanity has reverted back to living in tribal groups, but the world is now filled with dangerous robotic creatures. It follows Aloy as she uncovers the secrets of the past that shed light on how the world fell apart, as well as dealing with allies and enemies along the way. Its story DLC, The Frozen Wilds, was released in November 2017, with the game being later released on PC and then getting a Remastered edition for PS5. It has gone on to sell more than 20 million copies, making it a huge hit for the developer that has spawned a sequel in Horizon Forbidden West, as well as other spin-off titles.
