The latest preview on The Artbook Collector YouTube channel is for a new release that dives into the DLC of Final Fantasy XVI from Square Enix. If you're looking for some art to add to your shelf from the iconic series, you can see a preview of the latest release, The Art of Final Fantasy XVI: Echoes of the Rising Tide!
The 96-page hardcover was released on May 5th 2026 by Square Enix Books and shares artwork for Echoes of the Fallen and The Rising Tide, both of which expanded Clive's story and his adventures in Valisthea. You can check out the preview below.
The book acts as an expansion itself to the artbook for the base game, The Art of Final Fantasy XVI, which has 320 pages. Inside the new release, fans can find artwork for the new locations and a few select characters and enemies. In addition, there is also artwork for Clive's swords, item icons, loading screen images, and key art from illustrator Kazuya Takahashi.
In my review for the book, I highlight that the artwork is superb and the book is well-made. However, despite having online 96 pages, its use of the space is not the best, with strange inclusions that would have been better used for more artwork. The downloadable expansions for Final Fantasy XVI added more to the game’s world and story with new missions, locations, enemies, and a new Eikon. It continued the players epic adventure of Clive Rosfield with Echoes of the Fallen in December 2023, and The Rising Tide in April 2024, both of which are featured in the new artbook. Sales figures for the DLC' have not been shared, but the player counter surged 140% on PlayStation 5 when they were released
