Square Enix brought players back to the latest entry in their iconic game series in 2023 with Echoes of the Fallen, the first DLC for Final Fantasy XVI. The follow up came in April in 2024 with The Rising Tide, again adding more to the world of Valisthea. Now players have the opportunity to own a book with the art for this additional content next year, following a recent announcement from the studio.
The Art of Final Fantasy XVI: Echoes of the Rising Tide is an upcoming 92-page artbook that will act as a follow up and companion to The Art of Final Fantasy XVI, which was released in the West last year and in Japan in 2023. It will feature the same 8 1/4" x 11 5/8" hardcover format to match too. It is set for release on May 5th 2026 and is currently up for pre-order on the Square Enix website, found here.

Like the previous book, expect a look at the art for the characters, weapons and environments of the DLC, as well as beautiful illustrations the series is known for. Lead artist Kazuya Takahashi also showcases exclusive art in this release.
Developed and published by Square Enix, Final Fantasy XVIÂ is set in the world of Valisthea, where rival nations are fighting to control magical crystals and beings known as Eikons. The player controls Clive Rosfield, who is sworn to protect his younger brother Joshua, the host of his nations Eikon. After his kingdom is destroyed, the real adventure begins for both Clive and the player. This entry has an action heavy focus for the combat, a move away from the more traditional and strategic turn-based games of the past.
Some sample pages can be seen below, but are subject to change.
Future updates on the book will be shared here and those interested can order The Art of Final Fantasy XVI: Echoes of the Rising Tide on the Square Enix website today.
