This week on the The Artbook Collector YouTube channel is a look at the new book, Sea of Thieves: The Art of Piracy!

Rare is back with their second artbook for the online game, this time focusing on the added content that covers multiple years of support. It features concept art, illustrations and 3D models for characters, cosmetics, creatures, enemies, ships and locations for its pirate world. It's the perfect companion to the game, especially for long time players.

For a deep dive, check out my Sea of Thieves: The Art of Piracy review.

The previous book, The Art of Sea of Thieves is now very expensive on second hand markets and highly sought after, so this follow up is great for fans that missed out. If you are one of the lucky ones that got that first release, you'll be pleased to know that the books match. Despite switching publishers from Dark Horse to Titan Books, the format was kept the same, which is unusual but appreciated.

Sea of Thieves is an online multiplayer action-adventure game from Rare and published by Xbox Game Studios. Whether sailing solo or teaming up with friends in a pirate crew, players explore a vast open ocean filled with islands to visit, sunken treasures, mythical creatures, and enemies. It has a blend of exploration and naval combat to keep players busy and this has kept the game popular for many years. Its bold visual style adds to the fun feel, which is also reflected in the concept art seen in the book.
