This week on The Artbook Collector YouTube channel is a look back at an iconic trilogy and franchise with Back to the Future: The Ultimate Visual History (Revised and Expanded Edition)!

Released to celebrate 40 years of Marty and Doc's adventures through time, this version of the book contains all of the content that came in the 2015 edition, but has added more interviews and pages for more recent shows, merch, and more. The book was published by Insight Editions in the US and Titan Books in the UK and was released on February 17th 2026.

Inside are 272 pages of the written history, photos, concept art, key art, and more, giving fans a true deep dive into the the creation of the first movie through to the stage shows and modern collectibles. The production of the movies are covered in full and even broken down into filming dates, documenting the ups and downs of creating a classic movie trilogy. It packs a lot in, making it perfect for movie buffs that are not only Back to the Future fans, but also interested in the behind the scenes of the industry.

A lot of physical extras are also included within its pages, including photos and movie posters, adding even more value to the book.

In my review speak to how impressive the amount of content is, the production quality of the book, and the extras attached to the pages. Like the DeLorean, this book will take you on a trip through time, making it well worth adding to your shelf. You can read that full review here - Book Review.

The Back to the Future trilogy follows Marty McFly and eccentric scientist Doc Brown as they use a modified DeLorean to travel through time. In the first movie, Marty goes back to 1955 to save his own existence by ensuring his parents get together. In Part II, Marty and Doc travel to the future, but corrupt the timeline in the process, causing their own time to change. Part III heads back in time again to the Old West in 1885, where Marty must save Doc. The trilogy is all about cause and effect and 40 years on, the movies themselves continue be beloved by fans old and new, with more adaptations, art, and merch always around the corner.
